New release 28mm 1:56 "Pantile Store" September 12, 2017 09:49

The "Pantile Store" is the smallest kit in the collection designed as a supporting building to place alongside the "Pantile Stables" or pad out the grounds of something larger like "Pantile House 2". The last picture shows the Pantile Store with last week's release "Pantile Hermitage". This is the 9th kit so far in the range and a further two at the pencil drawing stage.

Suitable for Spanish, Mexican, Italian or Carribbean settings. Through Pirates, Peninsular War, Spanish Civil War and WWII.

New Release: 28mm 1:56 New World "Kitchen" January 19, 2017 12:06

The Kitchen has been released as a supporting building for the large "Tidewater Home".This building may also be used as a workers rural farmhouse. Please watch this  space for another workers farmhouse version, due soon.

Inspired by photographs taken by Ron Carnegie (Thanks Ron). This building is suitable for a range of periods, from French-Indian Wars, through American War of Independence to the American Civil War.

Regular readers of this blog and my Facebook page would know that I am not big on doing interiors to buildings for a variety of reasons. I could not however, ignore the chimney being such a dominating feature. An open fireplace seemed essential.

This lower status building has engraved split wood wall cladding and shingles to the roof. Shutters, both opened and closed are supplied for the two back windows and the window in the gable end.

Eastern Front House review by Chris Harris December 1, 2016 21:07

Chris Harris from "Tabletop Wargamers" has given his personal touch to one of the Charlie Foxtrot Models Eastern front kits. This time, "Rural 1" comes under close scrutiny. It is good to see a winter effect, contrasting with the summer paint scheme that is covered in an earlier tutorial on this blog.

New Release: 28mm 1:56 "Pantile House 1" November 11, 2016 11:06

Suitable for Napoleonic Peninsular War, Spanish Civil War, Italian WW2, Wild West Mexican or even pirates of the Carribean settings. This kit is the first in a new range of MDF and resin hybrid kits from Charlie Foxtrot Models...for a step by step tutorial on how I achieved this effect..please see the previous post.

News: Luke Fellows, Product Review...Kings of War trays & multi-bases June 8, 2016 00:00

Another review from Luke Fellows in his own inimitable style.

If you are not a follower of Luke's Facebook page, I highly recommend it. I recently used his black / brown wash idea and found it to work equally as well as propriatory brands. This one idea will save me so much!

Creative and entertaining...here's Luke:

New Release: "Swimming Pool" May 20, 2016 10:51

Whether it is to grace the back garden of your WWII French Chateau or the zombie infested gardens of suburbia the "Swimming Pool" adds to the range of water themed terrain pieces.

Using a dry-fix clear 3mm acrylic sheet to provide the water effects, the "Swimming Pool" effect is enhanced with wavy tiles engraved to the pool floor. The steps are removable so, if a Koi pond is required, leave the steps off and glue the tiled area upside down. Paint fish on the underside of the acrylic as required.

New Release: 20mm 1/72 HO/OO "Stone Barn" November 10, 2015 10:52

A new addition to the 20mm collection comes the "Stone Barn" a close copy of the very popular 28mm version. This model can be used for a variety of periods for wargaming or railway layouts. Like the larger version, the roof comes off to allow models to be placed inside. There is a 1/2 width  "hayloft" as a 1st floor allowing access to 3 of the 4 windows.

Next on the workbench will be a workshop to further expand the 20mm farm range.

Bolt Action Tournament Exeter 30.8.15 August 31, 2015 14:14

A few pictures from yesterdays Bolt Action tournament in Exeter run by Kirton Games. (Thanks for putting on a well organised event guys). www.charliefoxtrotmodels.com had scenery on 5 tables. Thanks to the Kirton games chaps for allowing me to showcase my designs. A great day out, rolled dice, pushed the toys around and had 3 enjoyable games with 3 people I had not played before......good atmosphere and good time had by all. It was good to see old friends and manke new friends too. Just don't ask me how well I did. ......I only wish it was a doubles tournament so I could blame someone. I did not win the wooden spoon wich was a pity as I could have made that  into something!

New Release x2: "Tool Shed" & "Log Store" August 17, 2015 14:19

Two new releases today.... "Tool Shed" and "Log Store" are both available in store.

I originally designed these with the Eastern Front collection in mind however now they are together I think they would suit a wide range or theatres and times. Both models come with the waney edged card for the roof tops to match last week's release: Eastern Front "Rural House 1".

I did tile one wood store with slate effect cardboard and was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. The tiles are available separately in the store and could be a good way uf using up your last few tiles left over from a larger building.

The "Log Store" has been designed to back onto either a house or the "Tool Shed". It does have a "planked" back panel so could also be free standing too.

The last picture gives a glimpse of a larger building for the Eastern Front collection due for release in the next day or two.  Please watch this space or "like" the Charlie Foxtrot Models Facebook page for further details.

New Release: Eastern Front Rural House 1 August 3, 2015 17:23

I am pleased to release this wooden, planked eastern European / Russian rural house. This model is part of a planned range of buildings to form a small rural village. I would like to thank Geoff Coe for his inspiring images which led me to produce this model. Geoff has kindly furnished me with plenty of resource material for me to really get me teeth into. Please do watch this space and "Like" my Charlie Foxtrot Models facebook page to see my new releases as they happen. I have been working long hours on this model.....is it really "work" when you do not want to stop? I think the best time to produce a model, is on the back of a new release; before I lose the excitement. Rural house 2 is in the sketchbook stage and computer drawings will start this week.

On the workbech: "La Brasserie" coming soon in 20mm 1/72 scale June 23, 2015 12:05

Coming soon to the Charlie Foxtrot Models range of buildings is a 20mm 1/72 scale version of "La Brasserie". The little version has a 116mm x 82mm footprint and stands 152mm high. Plastic strip for ridge tiles and plastic tube will be included in this new kit, just like the "big sister" version.

Please watch this space for when the model becomes available. The picture is of my final prototype and copies are being cut as I type. I am waiting on my supplier for thinner plastic pipe for the chimney to reflect the smaller scale model.

This kit will be ready in time for the forthcoming Bovington show.

This addition to my range is in response to the gamers who spoke to me at both Exeter and Weymouth shows requesting 20mm buildings for both Bolt Action and Battlegroup. Further kits are planned and will be released over the coming months.

If you have good eyesight and noticed that the 20mm model stuck to a 1p coin is an Italian, please accept my apologies. If you did not notice this; please disregard this last paragraph.
