EU Shipping is back September 29, 2025 13:55

With Blotz having part ownership of Charlie Foxtrot Models (full ownership to be transferred on 30th March 2026) I am able to open once more to shipping to the EU. Many thanks to Simon for sorting this out.

I have entered all EU shipping zones and prices and am delighted that I can now comply with EU requirements that came in towards the end of 2024. Should your postal zone not be available, please email me at: charliefoxtrotmodels@hotmail.com

In addition, as UK Royal Mail are now competitive in orders weighing over 2kgs (where once the couriers greatly undercut prices) I have increased the 2kg weight cap from the website. The ceiling differs from country to country so, as before, if you cannot get a price please email me.

Shipping has also resumed for Northern Ireland and Norway which also came under the EU GPSR Regulations.

Shipping news for USA customers. I am waiting until 14th October when US Congress meet to decide on the legality of Tariffs recently imposed. I hope to resume shipping to USA either with or without tariffs shortly after this date.

March '26 Charlie Foxtrot Models will be available from Blotz September 7, 2025 12:16

At the "Colours" show in Newbury yesterday, I proudly handed over an external hard drive containing all of the Charlie Foxtrot Models drawings to Sue & Simon of Blotz.

I have known Sue and Simon for many years and highly admire their product range.

From 31st March 2026,  Blotz will be offering both their excellent products and all products from the Charlie Foxtrot Models website. I am so happy that the business is being transferred to such nice people; with a great reputation for quality of product and service.

Over the next few months, Blotz will be transferring all of the products, images, tutorials and instructions to their website and "go live" from 31st March 2026. I have spent many hours preparing the hard drive for handover and know the enormous amout of work that Sue and Simon will have to do to ensure a smooth handover. I am confident that I am passing the business over to  a safe pair of hands.

My congratulations to Blotz; my commiserations to the other unsuccessful bidders for the business.

Shipping to USA suspended August 23, 2025 09:45

Breaking News means I had to remove shipping to the USA from the Charlie Foxtrot Models website 2 days early. Monday is a national holiday so there is no time to process USA orders and get them out.
UK Royal Mail posted this yesterday:
Postal services around the world are pausing some deliveries to the US over confusion around new import taxes that must be paid on parcels from the end of the month.
Postal services, including Royal Mail and Germany's DHL, said they would suspend deliveries until they had proper systems in place to deal with the new rules.
Royal Mail said it was withdrawing its current US export services for businesses from Tuesday, but added it hoped to have a new system up and running within two days to allow it to comply with the new rules before they kick in.
Once UK Royal Mail are back operating, I will then expore how I amend my pricing structure. It is unlikely that UK Royal Mail will collect tax for a foreign government for free. Replacing the postal bands, adding tariffs and applying any "handling" fees levied by UK Royal Mail will take many hours for a one man operation.
A sad day indeed. During Trump's last term, he withdrew from the international postage agreement causing a typical £15 shipping price soar to £25 for orders to the USA. That was bad for business. I can only guess as to how the new charges will affect things.

Temporary Suspension of USA orders August 15, 2025 11:38

I am spending this morning prepping for "Colours" on 6th September and reading up on the process of implementing Trumps 10% tariffs on all UK exports to the US. On deliving into this, information is vague and ambiguous and beyond my level of understanding. It will take hours to establish how I collect tariffs, to whom I pay and then increase my prices to US customers to cover the added cost.
If TACO changes his mind, it will be many hours spent for nothing.
Unless things change over the next few days, it is my intention to temporarily suspend sending orders the the States with effect from close of business on 24th August. This will give me time to dispatch before the 29th Deadline. I will review this IF the dust ever settles.
I apologies to all of my American customers; this is out of my hands.

New Releases: 28mm 1:56 Tables and a new RUB liner tray August 8, 2025 11:29

Those of you who have been following my "What a Cowboy "campaign on Facebook, will know that I am adding to my collection at a rapid rate.

To store my mounted and dismounted minis and a few civilians I drew a new RUB liner tray which is now in the webstore. I added in a few tables as the Rendera Domestic furniture box comes with lots of chairs. I had quite a few left over so designed the tables to fit. I will work these into a few table lay outs.

6th September Colours, Newbury

My final shows will be in 2026, dates to be confirmed:

In retirement, I plan to roll a lot more dice and game over the models I have made over the past 12 years. I plan on continuing designing and prototyping wargames models and continue being creative in fine art. In the meantime, I would like to thank you all for your continued support.

Notice of short closure 9th - 11th April April 4, 2025 20:26

Charlie Foxtrot Models will be closed on Wednesday (Grandad duty) Thursday and Friday.
On Thursday I will be attending the funeral of my closest friend Paul Buller who passed away last week.
Many of you know Paul on the wargame circuit, tournaments and accompanying me at shows.
The 1st pic is at Colours: left to right Matt Smith, Me, Paul. The second marks the start of a coastal path hike a few summers back.
Paul will be dearly missed and my heart goes out to Sandy his mother, Frances his wife and Jack & Katie his two children.
The world is a little darker now Paul has departed.

New Release: 28mm 1:56 "Pergola" April 4, 2025 20:24

New release "Pergola" can be used in a wide variety of periods and settings. I painted the prototype for my Spanish Peninsular War and What a Cowboy Mexican border tables. When added to the "Pantile Station" I think it would pass nicely as a tavern.

New Release from Charlie Foxtrot Models "Leader Trays" foot (1p bases) in numbered pack 1-8 and mounted leader (on 25 x 50 pill bases) numbered 1-5
